Dear future aupair, We are as you can see a small family of two and because of this we really are looking forward to having someone joining us and becoming part of our family rather than just a home help. I work as a nurse and on days that I am working do keep long hours. Due to this I am looking for someone who can not only help me with my daughter but who can be a positive role model for her. This is also one of the reasons I look for people who are keen to go to English school.
I live in a town called Dartford and this is 35 to 40mins from London. I actually commute to go to work in London. If you do decide to come and stay with us you would need to be comfortable looking after Galina for these long days when I am at work. Looking after her would involve 1 Making her breakfast in the morning, doing her packed lunch before dropping her at school. 2 Picking her up from school and making her a healthy snack (usually fruit or a yogurt). I really do my best to advocate healthy eating 3.Making simple meals(you don't have to be chef like but you do need to be confident in basic cooking) for her and doing light housework in the form of clearing up after yourself and Galina I don't expect you to do any major house work but I really would like to have someone who feels they are part of the family and so we would be sharing the chores between the 3 of us (Galina is very helpful with laying the table and tidying her room. I also like to encourage Galina to take part in as much of home chores as possible. As I said before, I would like it though if you were part of the family i.e. eating meals (breakfast, lunch… we usually have a snack for dinner ïŠ ) together with us doing our chores together and joining in on family activities (even if it’s a quiet evening in the sitting room with all of us reading our respective books
