Hi. We are a family of four, two boys age 7 and 4, mom (31) and dad (35). We live in the capitol of Norway, Oslo. Our apartment is located close to the city center in a nice neighborhood with a lot of parks, little shops and cafes in the area. Our youngest boy is in kindergarten 5 minutes walk from our home and the oldest boy goes to school. The school is just down the street. We work fulltime, mom as a manager of a dental clinic and dad as a manager in construction. We like to travel, be outdoors, watch movies, be social with our friends and their kids and in general just do things together as a family. The reason why we would like an au pair to come be a part of our family is that we would like a trustworthy person to help us with tasks in our daily life so that we will have more quality time together as a family. The person we are looking for should be reliable, like to spend time with the kids, don't mind doing housework, be interested in learning a new language and culture. We hope that you will enjoy making new friends. You will have your own room, share bathroom, kitchen and livingroom with the rest of us. We have a small dog, a cairn terrier, he's 10 years old and a playful friendly little guy.
Our day starts around 6- 6.30. We leave for work around 7 and you will stay with the kids in the morning until the kindergarten and school opens. We would like help with the laundry, washing, folding etc. and keeping the house clean and tidy.Usually we pick up the kids ourselves.So in the afternoons you can usually have time of, If you would like to make dinner every now and then, that would be great and we will need babysitting once a week in the afternoon. It's important for us that you will have enough spare time to make new friends, enjoy your time here and attend Norwegian classes, so your list of tasks we will plan together.
