SCHOOL SCHEDULES AND AU-PAIR SCHEDULES Here in France children go to school 4 days per week. Wednesday is a day off. In some schools this is changing to 4 days and a half but I have already the confirmation of our school that they will be keeping the schedule of 4 days. In France the au-pair contract is by law 30 hours per week: which I split in the following way: - 1 hour from 8 to 9 AM and 3 hours from 17/00 to 20:00 Pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. (16 hours) - 10 hours from 9 am to 19:00 pm on Wednesdays - 4 hours on Saturday , normally in the morning but could be in the afternoon, night. As each 7 weeks children have 2 weeks off, you would have to take care of them the complete day (if we are not on holidays as well) This will be compensated either with days off for you, either with extra hours paid as agreed between us. Please take in account that this can be modified following the activities each year. It can be as well that I have to do a business travel for one or two days. In this case the au-pair has to sleep inside the house or to come at the house at 5:30 in the morning and to manage the children in an autonomous way. We would like that the au-pair teach english to the children
