We are an easy going couple who try and enjoy life. I'm 34 and my husband is 43. We have 3 lovely boys who are well behaved and carefree. We would encourage creative play and outdoor activities when the weather permits. We have a lovely place out in the country-side with a few animals(pets) and a fairly big garden with lots of things for the kids to play on. We also grow our own vegetables. We have an apartment type house for our au-pair to stay in about 70 meters from the house. This is an extension onto our rental property. The apartment has its own satellite(GB) and broadband. This allows the au-pair as much independents as she wants although she would be welcome at our house when she feels like it.
We would expect about 30-36 hours from our au-pair depending on what my schedule will be when I return to work end of January. I leave to drop of the 2 older boys to the school bus at 9:40 so that would likely be the start of the day. From then until 15:00 you will have only the youngest to look after. Then you will be required to pick up the 2 older boys from the bus. (We will have a car available to you*this car may also be used for yourself within limits). Then the boys will need to be helped with their homework. We will also ask you to help keep the house tidy so I will ask you to try and fit in some light housework during the day. Things like folding laundry and sweeping floors. On the days the au-pair is off and she has dinner with the family we will expect her to help out with the dishes or cooking duties, an equal share between the adults, this to us is normal and fair. Also we would like you to do some minor care for the pets/animals. This usually takes about 5-10 minutes. Then depending on my schedule you will have to cook for the family 3 times per week. This depends on what time my last client will be.
