Hello! We are a friendly and active family of four living in a spacious home in the village of Vught, near the beautiful city of ’s-Hertogenbosch (Den Bosch) in the Netherlands. We have two wonderful children — a daughter aged 10 and a son aged 7 — who are kind, independent, and full of fun. Both speak fluent English as we have lived abroad as a family. Our family loves good food, sports, music, and spending time outdoors. Our daughter enjoys baking and crafts (especially crochet), while our son is into Lego and is learning to play the electric guitar. Both play field hockey, and we also have a sweet little guinea pig named Sammy. You would be our fourth au pair, and we truly value the cultural exchange and connection it brings. Our current au pair from Italy is happy to speak with you after an initial introduction to share her experience with our family. We are looking for a kind, responsible and cheerful person who enjoys spending time with children and wants to become part of our daily life. We offer a private room with your own bathroom and entrance, a bicycle, a SIM card, and a weekend train pass so you can explore the Netherlands during your free time. Our home is surrounded by nature and close to a train station, making it easy to travel — Amsterdam is only an hour away. ’s-Hertogenbosch is just 15 minutes from us and is a lively, historic city full of canals, cafés, shopping, and cultural events — perfect for meeting friends and enjoying local life.
We are looking for an au pair who can help us with light childcare and be a warm and reliable presence in our kids’ lives. Both children go to school during the day, so your typical schedule would include helping with breakfast and lunch preparation on about four weekdays, school drop-offs or pick-ups when needed, and spending the afternoons with the children — playing, helping with homework, or taking them to sports or playdates. Occasional evening babysitting would also be part of the role. You’ll be treated as a member of our family, but also have plenty of independence and time to explore the country. We value structure and tidiness, and we’d love to welcome someone who enjoys planning, being organized, and — ideally — shares our love for good food and the outdoors!
