We are family of three girls, mama and papa. The girls are a six yo, a three yo and a baby born in March and we are looking for someone to help us mostly with the baby as both the mama and papa work from home. We have joined all our maternity and paternity leaves together with our vacations and we still think that baby Nora is too little to go to a kindergarten (seven months old) so we would like to keep her at home while work from out home-office. The two older girls go to the nearby school (we usually walk with them in the morning) and the mama and papa work full time from home. The girls will attend some extra school activities and be done around four pm from Mon to Fri. Be an au pair in Tenerife, the Canary Islands. People came to spend the winter here and pay for it. People be aware that the Canary Islands are part of Spain but you need a two hour plane ride to get to mainland Spain . We live in a nice detached house in El Toscal, which is two (uphill) km from Puerto de la Cruz. There is a bus stop five min away by foot. The papa talks to the girls in English and the rest of the conversations around the house are in Spanish. As you register as a Canary Islands resident you will be eligible for a large discount in air-plane tickets to mainland Spain, so with a bit of planning you could visit Sevilla, Madrid, Barcelona... without spending too much on long weekends. The airport is twenty minutes from the house. And of course, the Canary Islands. You would be based in the North of Tenerife and one hour away from any spot in the island, or minutes away by air-plane or boat from the rest of the islands. If you don't know about the Canary Islands, google it. The house has a pool, but we don't use it much in winter, and you will have your own private room.
We are looking for an English speaking au pair to mostly help with the baby The mama will be working from home but will be able to breastfeed some, as we introduce food. The au pair will work Monday to Friday from nine to four, will have free Weekends and free public holidays. On Xmas you will be free and you should be back on the second of January. We do not expect to ask for any night time babysitting.
