Hello Future Au Pair We are a multicultural family of living north-west of Paris in a medium-sized town near Saint-germain-en-Laye and Poissy. The name of our town is Triel sur Seine, a pretty, laid back and nature friendly town with Hautil forest one side and the river Seine on the other. I am half SwedishMom) and half French (Dad). My mom's family belongs to Borlange - Torsang and my Dad's family belongs to the center of France (Dijon region). I was born in Falun near Borlange and spend my early childhood in Nigeria. When I was eleven my parents settled down in France where I have spent the rest of my life till date. My husband also has mixed origins and grew up in India, North africa, Japan and Europe. We have two kids - My son who is five years old and my daughter who will be four soon. My kids have three nationalities. They speak French and English fluently and can understand Swedish and Hindi. My kids are enrolled in the local French school and also in a private bilingual Montessori school. They like playing outdoors and when inside they like drawing, painting and building lego blocks. I would like to spend more time with them to help them do more and more activities. Thats where I will need you We have a simple, humble and minimalistic lifestyle. We live in a big apartment with three bedrooms, two bathrooms - one with shower and the other with bathtub, one toilet, a hall with american style kitchen and a balcony. We get lots of sunlight and can see the horizon and the sunset from the balcony. It is very beautiful We will let you take one of the bedrooms and decorate it as you like. Of course we will help you set things up. We will let you the bathroom with the shower and if you need to enjoy the bathtub we will let you use it.Apart from a single bed with mattress you will also have a work table with a revolving chair, a computer with internet,a mobile phone connection with data, a wardrobe and a bookshelf. If you need anything else we will be happy to provide you and make sure you are comfortable. I have stopped working since some time to dedicate myself to my kids learning and development.My husband works with an international consulting company and is away travelling for work during the week. He is generally at home on weekends. As my kids have a multicultural background I want them to learn new languages, perfect their English and Swedish and get themselves immersed in the Nordic culture. I also keep them away from "Screens" and want them to learn hands-on. My kids love animals and I take them frequently to farms where we buy fresh milk and vegetables (directly from the fields). I also got them registered to the town's pony club and my kids love it a lot but unfortunately due to time constraints I cannot bring them regularly and would love to. We love nature and go out hiking, walking in the nature quite frequently. We have a nature trail just near our apartment that leads to the Seine river. It is very beautiful and a nice place for the morning jog. We also travel a lot. If you would like you can come with us to participate in our adventures We would like to find an aupair to join us in the next few months ideally before summer vacations.
We are searching for an aupair girl to be a part of our family for a longer duration. It does not matter to us whether you have experience or not. Having a driving licence is good but not essential. We are looking for an aupair from Europe and we have preference over aupair's having english speaking and or nordic cultural background. If you are from outside Europe you will need to verify and take responsibility of the necessary visa formalities. But if my family interests you, just apply. Maybe you are the person we are looking for An ideal aupair for me would be a girl with a pragmatic and focused mindset who is eager to learn and try new things, is open minded and creative. She should be independent , does not limit herself to cultural and traditional boundaries and above all gives due respects to everyone around her without stereotyping or judgement. This is extremely important for us. A girl who loves nature and animals. She is ready to help others and ready to give love and care not just to my kids but to everyone in the family. We expect you to integrate into our family and become an integral part of all the fun. We want you to be proactive, get your energy involved with everyone around and participate in our activities. We DO NOT expect the aupair to be a nanny or housemaid or babysitter for my family but someone who will integrate and become a part of our family and do what she would have done for helping her own family. We will provide you with whatever you need to make you feel comfortable and at home. I know what it means to be away from one's family and friends and we will try our best to ensure you have a great aupair experience. In return we expect you to be honest and sincere with full dedication to our family. We do not have experience with aupairs but I have had a student for three months to take care of my son while I was pregnant with my daughter. She was simply great. She integrated into our family very quickly and she became our close friend. She even took great care of my husband for two weeks while I was away in the hospital for delivery. She gave us very sweet memories and we are still in contact with her. I also met an aupair from Hungary recently and she gave me the idea to have an aupair for my family.
