I would like to tell you a bit about our family and home. My family I am Alex and I am 33 years old, as I work as a Veterinary Surgeon and help my husband with his paperwork also. Richard is 43 years old, and works in construction as well as on the family farm where we live. Millie is nearly 4. She is very cheeky, loves Swimming, animals the outdoors and playing with her babies. Pippa is 2 and loves hugs and is mad about Peppa Pig! We also have a dog called Poppy and a cat called Dora who live in the house with us. I would describe our family as relaxed, fun, caring but a little crazy.We live in a village called Little Hay in Staffordshire on a farm, near Sutton Coldfield, Lichfield and Birmingham. We live one and a half miles to the closest train station (Blake Street), which is then only a 5 minute journey into the closest town, Lichfield. Birmingham the second biggest city in England is only a 27 minute train ride from us. We also have a car available for you to use, this is available as soon as you are confident to use it. We will of course come with you in the car to help you get used to driving in the UK. We live in a 5 bedroom house, with a large kitchen and playroom for the children. You will have your own bedroom with a king size bed and en-suite bathroom. We have internet connection, which you would be free to use.
Millie attends nursery 5 days a week in term time and Pippa would be attends nursery 3 days a week. The au pair will help get the children ready for nursery, preparing the packed lunch etc, and take them to nursery. Whilst the children are at nursery there are daily tasks such as washing, putting the childrens clothes away, emptying the dishwasher and tidying up after the children, we have a cleaner. Millie finishes nursery at 3pm, and then has afternoon clubs like swimming and gymnastics that the au pair will take Millie to. We have an au pair at the moment, and she will help to answer any questions you have about the family, and will help you gain an insight into our family. We would work alongside each other helping one another with the children and household chores. Having had 4 au pairs previously, I have found a few options regarding English lessons either at Sutton Coldfield College or with an ESOL teacher in Lichfield. I also help with your English as much as I can and enjoy seeing you improve. I will always correct you, which is the best way to learn. All of our au pairs have left with a much better level of English.
