We live in Killara, Sydney, 25 mins by train from the city, in a 6 bedroom house, with plenty of space for you to be independent whilst also engaging in our family life. Your bedroom has a private access to the house and a bathroom with shower for your private use. Everyday the girls wake at 6.30am and twice per week attend daycare close by which they love. They are very active and would love a big sister to play with them. On the weekdays that they are not at daycare they like to play outside on the trampoline, swings and go to the local parks. They also do Ballet, Music lessons, and Soccer during the week, their favourite is ballet. They go to bed between 7-8pm each night. I am currently a stay at home mum, Brad my husband works long hours in the city which means I have to be very organized and like a routine for the girls, which involves plenty of activity and play time for them to learn and develop. We hope our au pair enjoys children and playing with our twins, helping with tasks such as bath and bed time, light house work, and attending their weekday activities with me. Also for our newborn I will be caring for him majority of the time. I would always be at home with you and would never leave you with all 3 by yourself. Overall we would hope our au pair interacts with our family whilst still having individual time to themselves, especially getting out and about in this lovely city on their days off, or if they are studying there is plenty of space for them to work in their bedroom with a study desk, queen bed, tv, wardrobe, and private bathroom. Their work hours would be 35 hours per week with some split days and a half day on a Saturday. Your days off would be Sunday, Tuesday, Friday, and half day Saturday. Occasionally we may ask you to do some extra babysitting duties which would be separate from this, and only if she wanted to, and paid separately.
Hours and Pay: - 35 hours per week (7 day roster) depending on what is happening - 3 1/2days off per week (unless discussed prior). This includes half day Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday, and Friday off. - Rotating roster (changing hours throughout each week). We need flexibility - Split shifts may be required - Calendar with activities and hours is always available and hours will be done at least one week in advance - $250 per week, paid fortnightly on a Thursday - Paid cash in hand (no tax deduction made) Inclusions for you: - Inclusion in a kind and caring family – we want you to become part of our Aussie family! - Open two way conversation - TV/Foxtel/Netflix there is a TV in your room – Board – your own bedroom with separate entrance to the house. It is your responsibility to keep your room and bathroom clean and tidy at all times (we have cleaners come once per fortnight who will clean your bathroom also) - Reasonable internet usage - Basic meals with the family are included. Any additional/special food at own expense. Please add to our grocery list each week what you would like and I am happy to (within reason) get whatever food requests you may have What we are looking for: - The most important thing we are looking for is someone who truly loves children and wants to become part of our family. - An energetic person – you need to keep pace with 2 year old twins! - Someone with initiative, logic/common sense and a can-do attitude - Someone who is happy to help with all day to day aspects of running a house – anything from helping with hanging out the washing, ironing, vacuuming, emptying the dishwasher, food preparation/cooking dinner, making sure the kids have a bath/shower, helping with household chores, tidying up. We all do our bit around the house to keep it clean and get things done…so if everyone has the same mentality, it will work wonderfully! - We need someone who is flexible – things change constantly when you are dealing with kids! There will be days where you will need to do split shifts - Occasional evening babysitting so Anna and Brad can go out (we would pay you separately for this, and have a seperate baby sitter for William, so you wouldn’t be left alone with all three) - You must be a confident swimmer and be able to supervise the children in the pool. - Drivers liscence not essential - First aid certificate is preferable
