Hi there, we are so delighted you are reading our message and hope you will contact us for further discussion. We are looking for an au pair to join our family as soon as possible for a minimum of a year really. We have an au pair currently who is returning to France now. We have built up a wonderful relationship with her and will miss her terribly! I am British and my husband is Indian, we have two daughters aged 7 and 11 who are both in full time education through the day. I am Operations Manager and my husband is a Project Manager. We have two cats and a 9 month old puppy. Both girls play piano, one plays cornet and the other is learning P Bone. They both love their music, both playing to it and listening to it, we all do! The also go to Drama, gymnastics, swimming lessons, Guides and Brownies. They love to be outdoors and we spend as much time outside as we can. Through the week life is pretty busy with work life and school work and activities for the girls but we would love you to spend time with us at the weekends getting out and about where we live and beyond. We live in a small village in the Midlands with a canal that runs through it. The countryside around us is very green and pretty. We have an old terrace house that was built in 1890. We have 3 bedrooms, one of which will be yours, and a shared family bathroom. We are really well positioned for travelling, the nearest train station is 8km's, there is a bus stop right across the road from where we live and the nearest town is about 8km,s or there is a larger one 12 kms away. As our au pair, you will be required to work between 5&6 hours per day as follows: Be up and ready for the girls waking up in the morning (around 6.30/7am). Preparing children for wake up, getting washed, dressed, making beds, brushing teeth Preparing food, getting hair washed, brushed & tidy, preparing for school including making packed lunches, water bottles etc Taking children to school and collection from school always at the correct time Taking children to doctors, dental appointments etc if required Ensuring medication is taken by children (one child has asthma) Performing light housework duties to include, but not exhaustively: Washing dishes, loading/unloading dishwasher Cleaning, vacuuming, washing floors, dusting, generally tidying Washing, ironing & putting away clothes for whole family, small bits of grocery shopping as required, perhaps for packed lunches or milk/bread Letting cats in & out of the house & walking the dog. Making & changing beds, Everything to do with your own bedroom and the girls bedroom (clean & tidy), Emptying dustbins Studying English, going to college Helping children with home work, preparing food, showering children, bedtime routine, generally tidying up Taking children to various clubs/classes outside of school such as music, gymnastics, Guides, Rainbows, swimming and anything else to be agreed And any other reasonable request made by the host
