We are the Dyer family and we are in search of our first au pair to become a part of our family. We are family of 4, which includes mum Janet, dad Blake and kids Joseph ‘Joey’ (5 years old) and Lillian ‘Lilly’ (21 months). Janet has just finished uni and will be starting work as a Midwife in February; Blake is a lawyer and works in the city. Joey will be starting kindergarten this year, which he is very excited about. He loves to play board games, go to the park, swimming, drawing and trips to the city. Lilly likes to do whatever her brother is doing. We also have 2 cats who, go in and out of the house. They are friendly and love when they get a cuddle. We live in a 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom house. The kids share a room. We live very close to the beach and to public transport. There are lots of parks nearby and a big shopping centre only a 10-minute walk away. As we live on the northern beaches of Sydney, there are many beaches close by to choose from. The closest beach is Freshwater with Manly also nearby. We are looking for someone who is willing to be flexible in what days/hours she works each week. Blake works Monday-Friday and Janet works shift work so her work schedule is different week to week. The hours would be around 20-40 per week with most weekends off. Additional weekend and evening hours as requested and agreed in advance which will be paid extra on top of the weekly pocket money.
Along with looking after the kids, some other tasks will be preparing kids meals and cleaning up after, walking Joey to and from school, bring to activities such as swimming lessons, prep dinner, bed time routine, kids laundry, tidying up after kids, and helping kids keep their room tidy.
