We are a fun family of 5. George is 8, Leyla is 3 1/2 and Jasper is 23 months. We are searching for our next au pair to help us about 35-40 hours a week. We are a culturally diverse family as I am from America and my husband is from Turkey. We are laid back with open minds and free spirits. Our son attends a Rudolf Steiner school and we attempt our best to live his general philosophy which works on the basis that children's creative, spiritual and moral dimensions need as much attention as their intellectual ones. We encourage lots of free play with very limited t.v. time. We moved to Australia 10 months ago to run our business in Bondi Beach. We have a take away shop that sells fresh juices, smoothies, sandwiches, and salads. We eat healthy as a family and enjoy spending our time outdoors during the warmer months. Our children are not allowed to eat processed foods and sugar is very limited. We buy spray-free, organic, and grass-fed foods.
We are looking for a big brother or sister to help out with the kids while we are at the shop. We want someone who is going to enjoy playing with them and look after them with love, not as if this is a job. I am looking for someone who compliments our lifestyle, isn’t afraid to pitch in and help out. Loves children and enjoys lots of laughter. We want to build a "forever" friendship with you and keep in touch over the years to come.We live in a nice town situated within walking distance to the Westfield in Chatswood (train station), that offers anything a shopper could desire. Our oldest attends school from 9am - 3pm, Monday - Friday. We will need a confident driver. Driving will be required for school drop-off and pick-up. I also will need rides to Bondi on days that we share a car. You must feel comfortable driving from Northern Beaches to Bondi which goes through the city. We will need full time help to include school drop off and pick up for our oldest while caring for our younger children until around dinner time. Since I am self-employed, my schedule is somewhat flexible if need be. We will have a date night usually one night per week. Our younger 2 children love to play games, blocks, story time at the library, go to the play ground, etc. We will need help around the house with picking up toys, hanging and folding children's laundry, and running the vacuum if it gets dirty (kids are always dropping crumbs or bringing in debris from outdoors) in between cleanings. Cooking light meals for lunch and the occasional dinner on weekdays. Most weeks you will have 3 days off to explore or do whatever you would like, travel, meet new friends, hangout with us :) etc. You will have your own bedroom with wardrobe and bathroom. Your bedroom has a private entrance with a t.v., dvd player and unlimited wifi. Weekly pocket money will depend on experience and hours - we are generous. We look forward to hearing from you soon!
