We are looking for somebody we can welcome into our home to become a part of our family. While we will respect your privacy and "off time", we are very much hoping to find somebody that will want to join us for family time and events.
We are looking for somebody that can easily manage multiple responsibilities. We are prepared to compensate fairly, but we will expect a lot from our au pair. We would like for you to engage and teach the children as they grow while minimizing your own phone and TV time. Your time on the clock should be all about the children, whether it be playing with them, teaching them, getting them out of the house to different events or activities, doing their laundry on a regular basis, keeping their living spaces tidy and cleaning up after each activity. We would also like for you to be the one to get up with them on the weekends and engage them for a couple of hours until we get up and are ready to start our day. The mother of our family works part time so there will be plenty of times where she relieves you during the day, so this isn't a typical set schedule that will be the same every week. There will be times I stay home one day but will want you to work a Friday night so that we can go out on a date. Your schedule will always be presented to you the week prior though, so you will be able to plan other events accordingly. Another duty of our au pair will be to keep up with our own laundry as well.
