,we are a rural family of three. Hayden is a dairy farmer, Kirsty is a Dental Therapist who works in Gore (25min drive away), and Edie is our bright, easy going two year old daughter. About us We live in Northern Southland, between Riversdale and Waikaia. A short drive to Gore and 1 and a 1/2 hour drive to Queenstown. Hayden works on the farm we live on and we live in a brand new house there. Edie currently goes to a Swedish in-home care in Gore when Kirsty works Monday to Friday. We have a great relationship with Sofia but she is heading home to start a family of her own. Edie goes to the library and playcentre once a week. She also enjoys swimming and the outdoors. In the weekend we socialise with family and friends, watch sport or have small holidays.looking for an au pair from January 2018 onwards ,would ideally like an au pair that English is their first language
Edie currently has around two hour nap in the day just before lunch. We are looking forward to her being able to rest more in the mornings and get to bed earlier at night with the reduced travel an au pair would allow. We would like her to keep her interaction with other children in the community and would provide transport for this. The au pair would prepare breakfast and lunch for Edie and dinner for the family. Some minor cleaning tasks, e.g. vacuum, hang washing, dishes as well where possible. The position will be mainly Monday to Friday (Kirsty leaves for work at 7.30am and can be home between 5 and 6pm), any additional care requirement would be paid extra and only if au pair available. Advantages would be living in a beautiful scenic rural lifestyle but having great social life and easy access to airports and tourist hubs. Living in new accommodation with your own bathroom and Wi-Fi access. Food and board included in package. We are an easy going family with a good sense of humour, we have travelled ourselves so know how it feels to be away from home.
