We are a family of three, mum, girl (6) and boy (4), with a cat - and we are hoping to get a dog by next summer. We have always lived in London and currently live in the Clapham area, near Wandsworth Common. We live in south west london. I work part tIme, and the children have school 8.20-3.30 Monday to Friday. We live a very normal and down to earth life. The children love to play outdoors, they love arts and crafts, dressing up, going to the park / playground, swimming, playing with our cat, picnics in the park or in the garden, play dates with friends, cooking - especially cakes and brownies and cookies :) My daughter adores drawing and painting - she's particularly good at drawing mannequins and their clothes. She's also starting piano in September and she loves singing. She's just started reading Roald Dhal which she loves. My son loves lego, dinosaurs, running around, making a lot of noise - and basically being a 4 year old boy.
We need someone to do the school run pick up three to four days per week, make sure homework is done, cook supper for the children, and do bath-time most evenings. We also need 2 nights babysitting per week, plus occasional weekend (once every couple of months) sole charge if I go away (perhaps once every 2 months or so). I"d also like you to keep the parts of the house that the children use clean and tidy and to take care of the children's laundry and ironing. Occasionally I might ask you to go to the second hand uniform shop in the day, but not much else whilst they are at school, except for their laundry. We are a very loving family who love to play, have fun, and laugh a lot. Occasionally a 7-8am babysitting hour is needed. You will always have at least one full day off per week, and occasionally an hour or two's looking after the children on a Saturday. Plenty of time off during the day during term times. In the school holidays I would ask that you can be flexible to help out cover for my working hours. I don't mind if you want to stay for a few months or a year, I am flexible in that way. There might also be opportunities to fly to America as the children's dad lives there, and they always go for a couple of weeks in August, maybe around Christmas time too. So you could take the children out (or collect them), and combine your paid-for flight with some time in New York, if you wished. Our home is walking distance of the children's school and most of their friends too. Also,for you, shops, bars and pubs are all a 2 minute walk away, as it public transport, and the park! You get your own room of course, own bathroom, and kitchenette as well.
