Dear Au pair, we are a family of 4 currently living in central Paris in the 15th arrondissement. Jean, my husband is french and works in engineering, I'm Maud, half-British and half- French and I work as a nurse. Our sons Adam and Ian are aged 4 and 6 and speak French and English at home but mostly french I have to say:-) We lived in South Korea for 5 years. Since we came back to Paris, we realized that we needed to carry on with speaking English as much as possible. We thought the best way for that would be to welcome an Au Pair and share our daily lives. My husband now works away from Paris during the week which also explains why I need someone to rely on during the week in the morning and after school.
We are looking for a native English speaker either from the UK, Australia, Canada or USA. South Africa and New Zealand work perfectly too. The aim is for them to speak English as much as possible outside school hours. TASKS: Take kids to school when I can't at 8.15am in the morning. A minimum of twice a week and maximum of 5 times a week (not every week.) Picking them up from school at 4.20pm and 11.20am on Wednesdays. Taking care of after school time from 4.20 to 7.30pm. Prepare simple meals for kids. Take them out, play games, read books. Give them their shower etc...tidy up their room 1 babysitting a week either during week or at week-ends. (Always with prior notice) Approximately 30h per week sometimes less, sometimes more up to 35h max. 2 days off a week. 400 euros a months+transport card+own room (chambre de bonne) 20mn away from our flat.
