#### ONLY FRENCH OR SWEDISH SPEAKING APPLICATION PLEASE#### Hi, We welcome you to our happy family of four. Our family consist of Mom Madeleine (30), Dad Olivier (36) and our two children Valentin (5) and our little one Julia (2). We live in London and we are loving every second of it. This city has everything to offer for a fun and exciting lifestyle. We love to be outside and we often go on little adventures on the weekends Olivier is a business analyst for a french bank in central London. I have been a stay at home mom for 5 years but since september last year I have been studying part time to become a skin therapist. We live in an area southwest of London called Barnes. This part of the city is very quiet and village type like. Many swedish families live in Barnes since the Swedish school is here. From Barnes it is easy to cross the bridge over to Hammersmith to take the tube to central London. The big shopping mall Westfield is an easy bus ride away. Here you can find everything you might want and more. Finding friends here wont be hard since many families here have au pairs or nannies that meet during the days. Our son Valentin attends the Swedish school Monday to Friday 8.40-15.00 but finish earlier on fridays at 13.50. We currently have a swedish au pair living with us who takes care of Julia wednesday to triday and also our son Valentin after school. She is however leaving us on the 10th of june for new adventures back in Sweden. There are lots of activities for children during daytime and also swedish playgroups every week close by. Our family is bilingual
We want you to be a positive and energetic person who loves to be around children. That you are playful and have patience is very important to us. You will be a part of our family so joining us for cooking and eating dinner at times when we are all gathered will be lovely and I am sure the children will love to have you in our house just as much as we will. Being a part of our family we expect you to take care of the children in the morning, giving them breakfast and getting them ready for the day. After that you will have to bring our son to school that starts at 8.40. Until he needs to be picked up at 15.00 the day is up to you to go explore the city with Julia. After pick up we normally spend a little time in the school area playing before we head home for bathtime and dinner. You will be expected to cook for you and the children and to do lighter housework such as cleaning up the kitchen and vacuum clean the floors where you spend a lot of time during the days. However we have a cleaner that will handle most of the house cleaning and the rest will mostly be done by us when we are home. The children go to bed at 7 and after they fall asleep you will have the rest of the evening off. You will work 3 full days per week, Wednesday-Friday. I leave the house for college at 7.45 and come home between 7-8 in the evening depending on traffic. I will need your help one morning monday or tuesday almost every week to study. Our current au pair takes julia to the park around 9.30 and comes home to give her lunch and put her in bed and after that she is free the rest of the day. There are one exception to mondays and tuesdays leading up to when I have big exams. During these times I will need you to work full days or sometimes half days. You will have your weekends off. We will need you to babysit a few times per month and this can be any day during the week, mostly evening when the children are already sleeping. You will work on average 37 hours per week excluding babysitting. We will set up a schedule for every week so that we both know what is expected of each other and you will never be on standby in case we need you to take the children. We will respect your time off from work except if something unforseen would happen. What we offer you is: • Housing and food • Travelcard (oyster card) • Internet at home • Your own room with tv • Weekly allowance of 120£ (this is for work wednesday-friday, one morning every week and babysitting. Everything outside this you will be paid extra for) • Monthly allowance for your phone • On occasion joining us in one of our weekend trips outside London • We will pay your flight ticket to come here Taking care of toddlers are a demanding job and requires a lot of patience so the more experience you have the easier it will be for you. Many au pairs come to London and doesn't understand that it is hard work and decide to leave after a short time. We really want to avoid this because it will be hard for the children with too many changes. With that said it is also fun and exciting to take care of small children and follow their development. The love you give to them they will give back in double. We believe we
