We are an active family living in beautiful British Columbia looking for someone to join us and help look after our 2 young children while we work and attend school. We live in a lovely forested neighborhood close to a lake, mountains, walking/running/biking trails and parks. We are also a short drive/bus/bike to downtown, with endless outdoor adventure! (Or a day trip to Vancouver or Seattle if cities are more your thing). Our kids love reading books, going for walks, playing at the park, painting/drawing, and playing outdoors. We speak some French and a tiny amount of Dutch. We have a large dog, but she does not need any care.
We are seeking someone to care for our children while we work. Ideally we would like you to stay May 2017-June 2018, although other dates and shorter/longer duration could work. The hours are negotiable and depend on our school/work hours (could have most weekends and school holidays off). The focus is on quality of care for our two children, caring for them and sharing your understanding of the world with them. A typical day includes reading books, singing songs, playing games, going to the park and serving snacks/meals to the children. Some light tidying/meal prep is appreciated.
