We are looking for a Spanish speaking live in nanny/au pair to look after our daughter outside nursery hours. We live in a lovely rural village 12 miles from Cambridge and 5 miles from Newmarket. It is the best of both worlds - rural life but easy access to the wonderful city of Cambridge and all it has to offer. It is also just 1 hour into London by train from the station 15 minutes drive away. There are many families with young children in the village so it is very sociable. Being able to drive is important to get to nursery, shops, railway station etc. We have two dogs. We both work full time in professional jobs. We want somebody who wants to be part of the family and stay for at least a year, maybe much longer. Our current au pair has been with us three years but is leaving when she finds a job in science now she has graduated. Our daughter is three and is bilingual English/Spanish. She has a huge character - never a dull moment. We speak reasonable Spanish - not great but OK to get by. We both have Spanish mothers - and don't mind if the person has English or not - but should want to learn, to fit into the community. We are looking for somebody who is flexible and we are also flexible as long as our daughter is cared for first as a priority. Although we are hard working, our daughter comes first and we try to spend as much time at home as possible. For somebody who wants to enjoy a happy, rural environment, we can offer a lovely home and a great experience. Dropping off to nursery, collecting, childcare in the day when not at nursery, occasional night care (once or twice a week typically), occasional weekend cover (rare), contributing to general household chores alongside family, sharing the cooking, looking after the dogs when we are not around.
