My name is Charlotte and my husband Pete and I are looking for a new Au Pair to look after our 2 lovely children. We have had our Spanish au pair for 9 months and she will be leaving soon. We would like someone who is responsible, trustworthy, who loves children and has a basic or good level of English. This is important as our children are 7 and 2, so they are quite young. We are hoping to find someone who is interested in staying for 12 months as I think this is best for our children. We have a very relaxed family. We love spending time together outside, at the park, cinema and at home. Our daughter, who is 7 is in school, she loves to read, colour, play and is very well behaved. Our son is 2 years old and a very good boy, he is full of life and loves being outside, going for walks and playing. I would like that the au pair speaks in Spanish to the children so that they will learn this language. But my husband and I will speak English to the au pair so that you will learn quickly.
I would like our Au pair to be honest, trustworthy and look after our children very well. I would like someone who is energetic and fun but very caring with my children. We of course want you to meet new people and have fun with your new friends, we have a group of Spanish au pairs that live in Chepstow and have become friends and socialise together. I work different days and hours every week, so the days each week you will be needed will change, I will tell you every Monday which days I need to work and that you need to work and which will be your free days. I would also like you to babysit maybe once a week when my husband and I want to go out in the evening (this isn’t very often) you will always have 2 free days a week. You will have a lovely bedroom with your own bathroom, your food at home will be included and we will pay you £100 a week. For each time you babysit in the evening you will be paid extra money. As my daughter is in school, a normal day would be helping get both children up and ready, helping with breakfast, cleaning away breakfast and taking my daughter to school. You will have our son during the day, sometimes you will need to collect our daughter from school but sometimes I will. I expect our house to be kept clean and tidy when I am working. My son has a sleep for 2 hours during the day so I would like a little ironing done please. We would like you to do light house work but not much. If you or the children make a mess then I would like you to clean it. Our au pair is finishing here at the end of May, I would be happy to speak with you on Skype if you are serious about coming here to live and work for us. We would like you to start at the end of June please. There is a group of 6 au pairs living in Chepstow working for different families that are all friends and go to Spanish class on a Wednesday evening together and sometimes socialise together so that is very nice.
