We are looking for an au pair to come stay with us for 1-2 months this summer, and help care for our two boys, Seven (10) and Tigi (soon to be 1). You’d be staying with us at our country house, which is located about 1 hour outside of Stockholm. We also have a lovely apartment in the city of Stockholm which you would be welcome to use at times on weekends/days off. You’d have your own room with direct access to a bathroom.We’re a bit flexible with the dates but we’d like for someone to arrive sometime mid/end June and stay until beginning/mid August. We’re looking for a responsible, kind natured, independent, happy person. And of course, you should be very fond of children. It’s also great if you like the outdoors since we’re in the country side. Since Tigi is still only a baby, and very busy exploring and being curious, he needs to be kept a close eye on. He’ll turn 1 mid June. We all speak both Swedish and English. Seven goes to a bilingual school. Besides Stockholm, we’re close to Sala and Uppsala. If you have a driver’s license, there will be a car available for you to use. If you don’t drive, there are other froms of transportation within easy access. We’d be happy to guide you in directions of activities based on your interests. About the kids: Seven is a very sweet, kind and busy 10 year old. He loves running around, playing sports, swimming, playing games, make up games, play in the forest, ride his bike or moto cross, draw and invent stuff. We’d like you to help take care of the kids and their everyday needs, but mostly we want you to make sure that you all have fun! It’s summer break after all! Making sure the kids are safe at all times is vital. If you have CPR/First Aid training, that’s a plus. A regular day of activities could involve going to a walk in the forest, playing games in the garden, reading books, drawing, going for a swim in one of the lakes in the area, or do some baking. While it’s summer and Seven is on break from school, we’d still like for him to do learning activies such as reading- and math exercises. We may also want some help with light household work, such as tidying up after the kids, fold/put away the kids laundry etc. We’d like you to make sure they get healthy snacks on a daily basis, and the chores could also involve some cooking for them.
