Dear au pair, We are a happy family of four living in New York City. In February of this year I gave birth to two beautiful twin boys and we are enjoying every moment of being new parents. We are looking forward to opening our home to an au pair and have her participate in the care and nurturing of our boys. We live in a fantastic location in New York City. Our home is walking distance to Central Park, great restaurants, shops, and several convenient subway lines. I work as a teacher, but I've taken a year off from work to care for the twins. My husband is a doctor and works long hours. Everyday life consists of spending quality time with the children, feeding them, bonding with them, and creating a safe, stimulating and loving household. We expect our au pair to be excited and enthusiastic about working with our children. We want her to genuinely love taking care of babies and at all times be patient and compassionate with our twins. We would prefer an au pair who has prior experience working with infants. We also expect her to fulfill the tasks we set out for her each week and be respectful of our home. Our au pair will be expected to complete tasks such as feeding the babies, bathing them, changing diapers, taking them for walks and playing with them, cleaning their clothing and play area, and preparing bottles. Our au pair will need to work a mixture of daytime and overnight hours. During the overnight hours, our expectation is that the au pair will wake up for feedings and diaper changings. Our greatest advantage is we can be very flexible with giving our au pair weekend hours off so she can enjoy New York City.
