Dear Au Pair, We live in a 4 bedroom house in Kingham in the Cotswolds, England (not far from Oxford) and are looking for a bright, enthusiastic person to look after our 2 lovely children, Kuba (6), and Kaya (4). I am Polish, my husband is English but we speak mainly English, and the children understand only basic Polish. We also have a new cat called Gizmo
We have a lovely large king size bedroom with en-suite shower available for you on the top floor of the house, giving you plenty of privacy and living space. We expect our au pair to become part of the family and join us for dinner, socializing and relaxing in the evening. We like to eat out, relax at home with friends and family, and enjoy the surrounding countryside when its not raining!! We have 2 cars and being in the country, it is an advantage if you have a driving license so that we can add you to the insurance policy to give you some freedom/pick up the kids when required. Kaya is at nursery 4 days a week (5 days from September), and Kuba at school 5 days a week so there will be plenty of time to yourself. We both work in the hospitality industry however, so you will be required to look after the children in the evenings, and regularly at weekends. Your working schedule will need to be flexible as we do not work set hours, but you will still be able to get plenty of time to see the area, and perhaps pick up some extra work in of our restaurants if needed? We would hope that you will be happy to do light housework/laundry, and work with the children to keep the house tidy. We would hope that your time with the children was spent, playing and helping them to learn and grow, not just watching TV!
