Dear au pair, We are a fun and young FAMILY looking for a reliable, responsible and children-loving native English speaking au pair. We are kind, loving and protective and will make you feel like home. We are eager to show you the best places in our Region. We live in Murcia, a very cozy and beautiful town in the Region of Murcia. It's close to the beach and the mountains. The town offers an endless array of facilities ( bikes, shops, tram, shopping malls, schools, Universities, bars, etc,etc). The weather is hot in summer and mild in spring, autum and winter. We live in a beautiful three-bedroom flat, close to the city centre. You would have your own bedroom with a TV, and would share the children's bathroom. The flat has internet, air-conditioning, heating,etc. We spend some time at the beach or the countryside. I can also get you some private lessons or workshops if you want to earn extra money. All in all, I would like you to feel free to show your concerns, wishes or suggestions at all times. I totally agree with the fair conditions that an au pair must have. In fact, I was an au pair myself in England. Besides I have never been bossy, it is not one of my personality traits. On the contrary, I am a more laid-back type of person. Basically, I like treating people the way I would like to be treated. I am very respectful and easy-going as far as relationships are concerned. However, I really look for reliability, honesty and kindness. There are key qualities that I look for in an au pair: - responsability and reliability ( as you are dealing with children) - hon
Normally, I cook for everyone. You would work 30 hours a week.( Normally 5 days a week). (we may need you to babysit , 0, 1 or 2 nights a week from time to time). Normally, you would be needed in the afternoons and evenings. - speak in English to the children and in front of them so they don't know you can speak Spanish. I have always spoken in English to them as I am an English teacher). If you are interested in learning Spanish I can speak with you in Spanish whenever the children are not home or while they're at school. I can also get you Spanish courses, introduce you to relatives and friends for you to practice more) - encourage them to speak to you in English at all times. - help them with their homework. - read them books, tell them stories and make them retell the story or ask them questions about the story. - play with them - help us with their upbringing, meal times and bath times ( tidy up, good manners, good behaviour, etc).
