We are an American family living in western Florida in Tampa Bay Area. We have two daughters (7 and 9 years old). We also have one dog, a siberian husky named Sasha. We are interested in having an aupair join our family, as a big sister to the girls, not just a nanny. We hope to introduce you to the American culture and way of life by inviting you to participate in family outings and activities. We also hope to learn more about your culture and way of life. I believe that this will be an excellent experience for both my family and the aupair! I hope to find someone who will be a great influence over my daughters, and a role model who they can look up to and learn from. The perfect aupair would be friendly, patient, understanding, responsible, open-minded, respectful, and of course love children!
We would expect the aupair to help care for the children during the weekdays, with weekends free. During the week, the aupair would need to help get the girls ready for school in the morning. When the girls are in school, maybe the aupair can tidy up a bit and have some free time to relax. Then the aupair would watch the girls once they get home from school at about 2:30 in the afternoon for a few hours. I would like the aupair to help the girls with their homework, prepare an after-school snack or light meal for them, and play or do an activity with them. We have a very nice community pool, tennis courts, and playground very close to our home (within walking distance). We live in a nice, safe town with lots of restaurants and access to public transportation (busses and taxis). The aupair is not expected to work on weekends, but she is more than welcome to spend time with us as a family. Our favorite activity is going to the beach! We go as often as we can! My daughters also like to go fishing. They also love arts and crafts, swimming at the pool, reading, playing with dolls, and playing outside in general. Mya's interests are cooking/baking, playing games, and sports. Ava's interests are dance, art, and music. The Aupair will have her own private bedroom and bathroom upstairs.
