We are currently a family of 4, soon to be 5 in May. I work in the health industry (although will be on maternity leave when you are here) and my husband, Shawn, works in Agricultural Science at a university. We live on a hobby cattle farm with an outside (large) very friendly dog and our community is made up of our neighbours, our church 15minutes away and our extended family living in Albury. Our girls love playing together at home, but they are also very social, they love playing outside, visiting our neighbours and going to church and childcare/pre-school. We live 30mins from Albury, a large country town, which is 4 hours from Melbourne and 6 hours from Sydney. We are looking for an au pair from 4th May for approximately 8 weeks to assist me look after our 4 1/2 year old and (almost) 3 year old daughters, while I care for our 3rd child due to be born 12th May. We are looking for someone who is already in Australia and interested in spending some time in regional NSW. We can offer a private bedroom, bathroom and living area in our granny flat, and some use of our car.
I will be having a C-section for the birth of our 3rd child, so need help with our 2 girls, mostly weekdays in the morning as well as evening during meal preparation and dinner. Someone with lots of energy and fun would help to maintain the girls’ attention when they are asking for Mum. Light cleaning and hanging out washing will also be appreciated. Our 4 year old will be going to pre-school 2 days, with the 3 year old going into childcare one of those days (which is a day in Albury). Your assistance will not be required on weekends, but you are welcome to join us in our family activities.
