Hello, we are a family that is half Swiss (father) and half Australian (mother), with 18 month old twins, a boy and a girl. As you can imagine, life with two 18 month olds is very busy, and we would love some help with them and our household in general. Very important - we need someone who loves to cook, as we would ask our au pair to cook some evenings. (Not every day, of course.) We live in Aarau, in the German speaking part of Switzerland. We live in a quiet family area, with friendly neighbors and a garden where our babies love to play. We have a pond in our garden, so safety of our babies around water etc is very important to us. We are also very close to public transport (2 minutes walk), and are 1 minute away (by train) from the lovely city of Aarau, 35 minutes by train from Zürich, which is a large international city, and where we both work. (I work 3 days per week, their father works full time.) We also have a wonderful nanny who looks after our twins most of the time I am at work. We are only looking for someone from the EU at this stage, ideally someone from the "old" EU (EU25) as the visas etc are easier to arrange
Our au pair will help with our 2 children, including occasional evening babysitting. So she must love children, be patient and firm when needed (we are gently teaching our babies to understand the word "no"). She should also be flexible and relaxed, to fit in with family life, which can at times can be very chaotic! She should also love to cook sometimes, and be willing to help out with some light housework and washing clothes.
