Hi there. Our daughter's name is Elena and she will be 1 year old by end of this year. Inga, the mother is 36, was born in Russia and moved to Germany when she was very young. As for mysef, my name is Apostolis, also 36 years old and I come from Greece. I have been living abroad for 11 years now, first in Holland and subsequently in Germany. We started with our first au pair, Diana, last June with a 9-month contract and as time flies we are looking for someone to take her role and come live with us as of January 2015. Diana will be leaving us as of February so we would like to have a transitional handover period of about 1 month. Elena will be going to the kindergarten in the morning until the afternoon. The average day will include picking up Elena from the kindergarten in the afternoon and then spend 3-4 hours with her until we return from work. Occasionally we will need you to stay with her for an evening and during days when the kindergarten is closed you would need to take care of her for the full day. We estimate the average working hours to about 30 per week. We live in the city of Frankfurt, just 30 minutes walking from the center and the river Main. Frankfurt is a mix of modern and classic architecture and home to the European Central Bank, which has turned it over the years to a very international city. It's one of the few German cities that you can get by just by speaking English. Of course if amongst your objectives will be to learn German, we will offer to you language lessons. You will have your own bedroom and bathroom.
Our daughter was born in December 2013. By your starting date she will already be 1 year old and our first au pair will just be finishing her staying with us. We are looking for the next au pair to come live with us for a year. The au-pair should mainly look after Elena while we are working.
