We are a family of four living in Sandefjord around 100 km from Oslo. We operate a cow farm and I work in the city as a physical therapist. We are a hardworking family, who do not have much free time. We are looking for someone who can help us to watch our two girls, 4 and 5 years old, who are at home. Your responsiblities are to pick up the slack, do washing as necessary, and set clear boundries for the girls as needed. You must accept that it smells a bit on the farm and there is a lot of "bits and bobs" out here. Women who are concerned about having perfect nails and lots of makup do not fit in here. We also have many animals here. We have two rabbits, a handful of cats, and many, many cows, so you will have to like animals. There is some housework to be done every day, you must also prepare dinner and clean up after the kids. We live about 10 km from the city center and there are only around 4-5 buses a day, so it is difficult to go onto the city or to go to a cafe on a whim. The children are in kindergarten every Thursday and the au pair is needed to accompany them. We have a small "cottage" next to our house for the au pair. The toilet, shower and kitchen are shared among us. The children enjoy making things, playing outside, taking bike rides, and going for walks in the woods to pick flowers. Generally they are happy girls and have a lot of energy. They aren't afraid to get dirty and love going into the cow barn or riding on the tractor with their father.
