We're Francesca and Maikol, 33 years old and the new parents of a son. We live in a detached house with a beautiful garden and surrounded by woods. We have two medium-sized dogs, both very good-natured and eager to play.
We see the au pair experience as a cultural exchange based on trust, responsibility, and mutual respect. We are not just looking for help, but for someone who would like to become part of our family life for a meaningful period of time. Before confirming our choice, we will ask the candidate to complete a questionnaire that will help us better understand her personality, values, and expectations. Especially if she is young, we would also appreciate having a video call with her parents. For us, transparency and open communication are very important from the beginning. The au pair’s primary responsibility will be caring for our son Gregorio, who will stay at home and not attend nursery school. This includes: Daily childcare Taking him for walks Playing and engaging in age-appropriate activities Supporting his daily routine with attention and care In addition, we expect her to collaborate in daily household life, such as: Helping keep common areas tidy Keeping her own room clean and organized Occasionally helping with cooking Contributing to the general order of the house We believe that living together means sharing responsibilities in a natural and cooperative way. We expect approximately 5 hours per day, mainly from Monday to Friday. The schedule may vary slightly depending on the week, and we will always organize it together in advance through open communication. Weekends (Saturday and Sunday) will be free. She will be welcome to spend time with us if she wishes, but she will also be completely free to travel, explore other cities, or even spend the whole weekend away if she prefers. Accommodation, food, and all shared family activities will be fully covered by us. Personal activities or independent travel plans will be at her own expense.
