ONLY NATIVE ENGLISH SPEAKERS! Read before applying please! Hello! We are a family of five (including our dog Laika). We are a young married couple (33/34) with two children (our daughter will be one year old in the summer and our son almost three). We live five minutes from Girona, in a town with good public transport connections. We will be spending July between Girona and Platja d'Aro (Costa Brava) and the plan is to spend August at the beach. There is a possibility that our au pair could stay longer. It is essential to be a native English speaker, and knowledge of Spanish is a plus. We are also looking for someone with native english who wants to work with children and has experience and references. Smoking is not allowed. :) We live in a 4-storey terraced house in a village a few minutes from the center of Girona. During the month of August and maybe some weekend in July, we will settle in a flat located in Platja d'Aro, very well known on the Costa Brava. Both properties have a private room for our Aupair.
Our aupair is mainly going to help mom. We can split up the children so that both are more relaxed (for example, one bathes the child while the other gives dinner to the other), I also like to go out together to have four eyes and hands instead of two, but the idea is not to leave our au pair alone all the time with both children. It may be that on some specific days you have to watch the monitor while the children sleep if the parents go out to dinner, but these are very specific occasions. Our aupair will have to wash her clothes, help with daily tasks like tidying up the children's dishes when they eat, have dinner, etc. but she does NOT have to clean the house.
