Pascal(Dutch) Heger and Thaise Viveiros(Brazilian) are the parents of Blaze Maui (Born Oct. 2021). We've lived in Spain for the past 6 years and are both resuming work. We're currently exploring options for someone to look after Blaze while we're working. Since I work with a lot of overlap in the US, and my wife works in a clothing store would require someone with flexible hours. We're a relaxed happy couple and looking for someone that will fit in. Blaze is a healthy, happy 18 month old that loves to interact with other people. We'd be happy to present ourselves over the phone or in person if you live close. We're looking for an au-pair that will live with us to take care of our little one. We'd expect you to do fun things with Blaze that are both entertaining and educational. (no need to be a professor, we all know more than an 18-month old that we can teach with patience). The au-pair websites mentioned the minimum salary for an au-pair in Spain is around 50-60 per week, but we'd be willing to give around 100 per week if there is some flexibility in helping us. We can certainly look at your specific situation and see what would be reasonable. We live in a villa/bungalow near the town centre. The beach / town are a 10 minute walk from our home and the tram/bus station is close as well. We live in a small community/urbanization with 5 other houses (all families) and share a nice garden and swimming pool. We have a small gym in our home and you'll have your own private bathroom/large bedroom as well as the rest of the house to share. El Campello, Alicante region. It's a small beach town near Alicante. Well connected with the tram to get to Alicante (15 min) and Benidorm.
I run my own clothing store at walking distance from our home. My husband works remotely for an international organisation and need some overlap with the US timezone. His busy hours are typically from 15:00-20:00. I would open the store around 9:30/10:00 - 14:00 and would return from 17:00-21:00. Since we're still in the process of opening the store, we're not sure which specific hours would make sense for her, but I'm sure we can come to a reasonable agreement. Outside of this we’d expect the Au-pair to prepare a meal for our 18-month old. Take good care of him. Teach him some things whilst playing, take him for a walk to the beach or park, organize his room when he’s done playing, wash his clothes and put them away when needed, and was the occasional dishes when we didn’t get around to it. Simple basic stuff that surrounds the baby.
