Hello. I am Sarah, and my husband's name is Doug. We are both schoolteachers at a private high school in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire. We live on campus in a faculty apartment, where our au pair will have his or her own room. We are easy-going, music and nature lovers who spend our free time outside taking walks, hiking, sledding, or going out to eat. We would love to share our beautiful home with an au pair in exchange for some daily help with our three-year-old daughter, Eleanor, and her younger brother, arriving in December.
We would expect the au pair to feel like part of our family. We would expect the au pair to help out with our daughter and (to be born in December) son when we teach classes at various times throughout the day. Because we live at a boarding school, we would be able to return between classes and give the au pair some relief. We would not expect the au pair to work more than 40 hours per week. We love the town where we live: a cute little hamlet on a lake in rural/suburban New Hampshire. There are a lot of shops in walking distance, but we could drive our companion or loan a vehicle has needed. The au pair would be welcome to enjoy free time solo, but we would be equally happy to take him/her to museums, concerts, restaurants, or to our family homes (where she would also have her own room).
