Our family consists of five members, however our son is currently away at college, so only four of us live in the home - my husband and I and our two daughters. We are a professional couple and we are also actively involved in christian ministry. We are seventh day adventists and try to emphasize unconditional love and respect for all people regardless of their personal preferences. We travel quite a bit and enjoy learning about other cultures and meeting people from various parts of the world. We would prefer someone who is creative and enjoys spending time with kids. We would also like someone who enjoys cooking (or learning to cook) simple, healthy vegetarian meals as we are vegetarians. Preferably someone who is respectful of others, a non-smoker and non-drinker (as they will be role models to our young daughters).
Our ideal au pair will, if possible, pick our daughters up from school and take them to and from after school activities. Help with homework, music practice, and play games with them or teach them crafts, foreign languages, etc. We would also prefer someone who can either cook or willing to learn to cook simple (nothing elaborate or fancy), healthy vegetarian meals. Ability to travel with our family would also be great.
