Introduzione personale

Dear future au pair. So nice that you are interested in being part of our family! We are looking for a senior caregiver. Our family consists of my wife Marja, she is 68 years old and slightly demented, but otherwise healthy. My name is Ed and I am 69 years old. We are both retired, I used to be a lawyer and my wife an English teacher. A few years ago I had a cerebral infarction which led to a slight limitation of my walking. I am also completely healthy. We don’t have little children living at home. We live in a beautiful house with three floors. Your spacious room is located on the top floor with a double bed (so that you can let your friends sleep) and hot and cold running water. Unfortunately there is no private shower but I can change that. We live in a suburb called Bussum situated 21 km from Amsterdam. The train station is a 6-minute walk away and you can be in the center of Amsterdam in 25 minutes. I think you have more than enough time to get to know Amsterdam well.

I dare not leave my wife at home alone because of her condition. Your most important task is to keep my wife company when I'm not at home. And to help her with showering and dressing. I would also like you to cook, because my wife is no longer capable of that. We have a maid once a week, so you don't have to do the cleaning. I would also like you to take Marja's duties as my wife.
