German-American Family looking for an energetic and friendly Au Pair to join our family help us to care for our son, Henry. Henry is about fifteen months old and is very energetic. He babbles constantly and loves having "conversations" with his toys and stuffed animals. I am and American who came to Germany ten years ago as an Au Pair and loved it so much I decided to stay. I spent eight years as an English teacher and now work as a Social Media Manager. My husband is a German Master Chef from Ludwigshafen, Germany. We met after my Aupair year and moved to Nuremberg together eight years ago. We also have two cuddly cats, Dewey and Sniffles. We are looking for someone who is responsible, kind, caring and compassionate. Being an Aupair is a wonderful experience so being open to new things and new cultures is very important.
We need someone to look after Henry during the week usually until about mid afternoon. He isn't potty-trained yet so, unfortunately, diaper changing is part of the job. We ask that you play throughout the day with him and help him continue to develop his fine motor and language skills. You would make sure he has some snack and prepare him a healthy lunch. Then he usually takes a nap in the afternoon. He's a loving little boy who likes to have a laugh. We would ask you to help with some light housework like vacuuming and doing the dishes. Maybe a quick trip to the supermarket or two during the week.
