Hello, I am looking for an au pair to join our family in south west London quite soon - ideally between 13 and 17 August 2018 as our nanny is leaving. I would like someone with experience of looking after children and who genuinely enjoys spending time with them, and who knows how to cook simple meals. My daughter is 10 and loves animals. My son is 4 and is going through a super hero phase. I am looking for someone who is fun loving but sensible, independent but happy to be part of a family. I speak a little French and Spanish, so if one of these is your first language then communication may be easier!
I am looking for someone who can work 30 hours per week, doing mostly childcare but a bit of laundry/light cleaning work as well. The average day would involve getting the children up and dressed, giving them breakfast and then taking them to school (around 0730-0900); then picking them up from school and either taking them to an after school club/activity (like swimming lesson) or bring them home to do homework, relax, make an evening meal for them, give them a bath and get them into bed (around 1515-1930). I try to get home around 1830, so I can help with bath time and read bedtime stories, but sometimes I am home a bit later. If you could also put the occasional laundry wash on and help keep the children's room and things tidy, that would be great. You would have your own bedroom with single bed, but we have only one bathroom for the whole family, I am afraid, so we have to share (there is a separate toilet though, so you don't need to queue for that!). I would pay you £100 per week and could provide a UK pre-paid mobile phone for local calls. We have wifi in the the house. South west London is a lot of fun. We live in a residential neighbourhood of mostly families, around 10 minutes walk from the nearest tube station but we also have bus stops close by. You are welcome to join in our family activities on weekends as much as you like or to be as independent and pursue your own interests as you wish.
