We are a fun-loving family who enjoy playing, dancing, watching films and going for walks in the woods. Martha is 4 and Harrison is 2 and they make us laugh most of the time. Both Dean and I work in the film industry, Dean is an art director and usually based at Pinewood Studios and I am a film publicist for a film company based in central London. I have also recently qualified as a yoga teacher, happy to practice on willing yogis. The final member of our family is Marge the cat - she likes cuddles too. We live just outside London in a place called Chesham. The surrounding Chiltern Hills countryside is beautiful and yet you can get into London easily on the tube, a direct train takes 50 minutes. Many people commute into the centre of London from here every day. We have a large extended family who live locally and Martha and Harrison love hanging out with them, so there will always be someone to call upon if you need help. There are also lots of other families on our road with kids of the same age who we have become friends with since moving here. I am currently working 4 days a week and have Fridays off. The children will need to be looked after, Monday - Thursday. Martha is 4 and loves dancing, singing, play doh, arts and crafts, books and Disney films. She is learning to swim and has ballet classes at the weekend. Harrison is chatty and loves trains and planes and whatever Martha is doing!
We are looking for someone who is fun and has loads of energy to take care of Martha and Harrison mainly Monday - Thursday. Main tasks are to look after Martha and Harrison but also to do some light housework like laundry, grocery shopping and keeping the childrens bathroom clean. Martha would be taken to school each day, drop off is at 8:45 and collection around 3pm. Harrison needs to be taken to and collected from nursery Tuesday - Thursday and looked after on Monday. We would like the au pair to help with getting the children ready in the morning and look after them, including cooking dinner, until we get back from work between 6.30 and 7.00. Work hours are Monday 7.15am - 7.00pm, Tuesday - Thursday 7.15am - 9.15am then 3.00pm - 7.00pm and then Friday, Saturday and Sunday are days off. I sometimes have to work on a Friday when we would need help then too but we would give notification. We have quite a large house with plenty of space for you to have your own room. Chesham town centre is a 5 minute walk a way and has a small theatre that is also a cinema, a train station, 2 large grocery stores, pubs, an outdoor swimming pool, restaurants and coffee shops. The local park is at the end of our road and you can easily get a bus to Amersham which is a bigger town. You might be able to have the use of our car too. We are very happy here - its a great blend of town and country life.
