I'm a 30-something SAHM, formerly a teacher and professional nanny. I have two lovely, squishy babies. A spirited and intelligent girl, 22 months and a sweet, reflective boy, 5 months. We are also expecting a 3rd child in January.My husband works long hours and I'm finding "two under two" and also being pregnant a bit overwhelming these days as we are American Expats with no close family or friends nearby. We are a book and music loving family. We enjoy doing homey, family things together like going to the park or snuggling and reading stories. When it comes to the kids my husband and I are not strict but we do believe in a schedule and plenty of opportunity for play and educational fun. We believe in very little television, a good amount of nutritious food and lots of sleep. My husband and I both believe that a second language, computer knowledge, and the ability to swim are non-negotiables. This is why we need a bilingual nanny.. the kids have been in swimming since birth and its time we get the second ball rolling.
Looking for an aupair starting end of August beginning of September. Position will consist of helping me take my kids (G2 yr old and B1 year old) to activities and help them to begin to acquire a second language. Must be fluent in the Italian language (Mother tongue).Must be reliable, punctual, and have good references. CBC/DBS a must. CPR/FA/AED training negotiable. The hours I would need you would be 5 days a week, 5 hours a day(9am-2pm) with 1 night of babysitting. This could be a long term position(2 years+) for the right person.This is(mostly) not a sole charge position as my husband and I would be accompanying you to some activities. Housework would be light cleaning (laundry, dish/bottle washing mostly) and them light cooking for the children.We just need an extra pair of hands most days:)
