Hi there, I have a toddler and 2 step kids that live live with us 50% of the time. We live in a lovely beachside town in a nice, very clean, comfortable home. My husband works FIFO and is home for 3 weeks (when we have my step kids) and away for 3 weeks. I am a full time mum at the moment but my profession is environmental science. We are looking for an au pair because I am pregnant and suffer from very bad morning sickness. I’ve had my mum staying but she is from Victoria and can’t stay indefinitely. I need a hand when my husband is at work. We’re looking for someone as soon as possible.
I’ll need help with my 16 month old toddler and day to day chores, depending on how well I am that day. I wouldn’t expect anything from you that I wouldn’t normally do when I am well. I’d like my toddler to be taken on at least a couple of walks per day, also to play with him, take him to swimming lessons when I am unable, take him in our pool at home, take him to his activities like toddler jam etc when I am too unwell. I’ll also need some cleaning and cooking done. I’d really like someone that takes initiative and chips in to help without being asked. The older kids are reasonably self sufficient and very good with their little brother. You won’t need to ‘look after’ them but may be asked to do the odd drop off/pick up. Maybe the odd bit of help with homework etc. We have a pretty busy, active lifestyle. We like to get out on the boat when we can. The boys go surfing, wakeboarding and spend lots of time skating (I was a lot more fun before I got so sick ;) We like bike rides and camping. You’d be part of the family and welcome to come along whenever you want. We have a big house with a huge back yard, pool and theatre room. We love spending time outside and eat most meals in our patio area. When hubby is home we have lots of barbies.
