We are family of outdoor loving adventurers who live in a village in the South East of England. I am a property lawyer and work in my garden office with my husband Ben. Our daughter, Matilda is 20 months old and loves to go for walks, play, visit the park, paint, draw and build (or at least try to build) things with duplo. We have a springer spaniel, Huxley, who is affectionate and energetic. We live in a small village near Uckfield. There is a small shop opposite, two restaurants and a petrol station in town and that is about it! We will provide the use of a car for our Au Pair, as driving is fairly essential living here. At the weekend, we enjoy going off exploring (UK and abroad) and try to stay active. We usually cook meals with fresh ingredients and try to eat a diet high in protein and vegetables and low in carbs. Our house is a medium sized three bedroom, with spacious lounge and kitchen. The spare bedroom is a decent size, and includes bed, wardrobe, desk and TV. We live on a main road, so it can be a little noisy during peak traffic hours - otherwise it is fairly quiet.
We are looking for an au pair to look after our daughter Matilda for up to 30 hours a week. This would include playing with her, taking her out for activities (baby gym, dance lessons, swimming, to the park and so on). Within these hours we would like to include cleaning of the communal family areas (lounge, kitchen, nursery, bathroom), sharing in family meal preparation and share in dog walking. We have 16 hours of childcare each week at the moment from grandparents, which is flexible and can be arrange around your education schedule, making sure you have time for classes. We will provide use of a car so that you have independent travel. We are looking for someone who: Loves spending time with children and has experience looking after an energetic toddler and coming up with suitable activities to keep them engaged and busy. Enjoys the outdoors, healthy living and healthy eating Has experience driving Is happy in a rural environment
