We are a family of 5 plus 2 dogs. Mom, Dad, Grandpa, 2 boys and 2 dogs. We are looking for an au pair who can learn very well all aspects of taking care of our kids when we are at work. While Grandpa is around the house some afternoons, he sleeps most mornings and stays at his girlfriend’s house a few times a week. Our au pair will become like another mother to our kids, as she will do everything for them. She will have to be patient with our 3-year old as he is learning to potty train, she will have to prioritize education for our 3-year-old as well, teaching him numbers and letters, and she will have to be able to juggle responsibilities for both kids. Our baby is breastfeeding and drinking bottled breast milk, so she will have to know how to warm up the milk, how often to burp the baby, and how to avoid the baby spitting up milk. She would also have to prepare food for our 3-year-old that isn’t preferably healthy (meat, vegetables, fruits). On the weekends, she is free to explore our town using Grandpa’s car, we can drop her off at a mall or museum, or she can spend time with us as a family. We are very friendly, flexible, and eager to call our Au Pair Family.
She would generally be alone with both kids Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 5:30pm. Around lunch time, she can use the hour or 2 that both boys are napping as her break to eat (if she hadn’t eaten already), Watch Tv, read a book, etc. or if she chooses, she can do some light cleaning, laundry, or cooking. While we have 2 dogs, they are very low-maintanence and they sleep almost all day. Our boys are Jeremy (3-years) and Jackson (2-months), and they both stay home with Mom. However, Mom is currently looking for a job, so we would plan for our Au Pair to start working for us at least 1 month before I start my job so that she can learn about our family and schedule.
