A young couple with a 1-year-old boy living in a house just 30 minutes outside New York City. Mom speaks several languages and often travels internationally for work. We have lived in South America, so we understand the challenges and excitement of adjusting to a new culture. Both parents have excellent English and postgraduate degrees.
The au pair will have her room on the ground floor, while the rest of the family bedrooms are upstairs, so he/she will have privacy. We need help M-F morning from 7-8:30am to get our son up, feed & dress him, and drive him to daycare (5 min. drive). We will also need help about 50% of the time (when mom is traveling) in the evenings to pick up the child from daycare, feed him, bathe him, and put him to bed. When mom is away, the au pair will also be "on call" until dad gets home (9 or 10pm) in case the child wakes up.
