Two working parents who speak Swedish, English, German. Kids do too - common language often English, or the other two :-). Family is in Göteborg / Sweden since 2014 November, well integrated with friends of kids and parents. We are Austrian and German nationals. Hence all speak German often but we are used to have English speaking Au pair. We had 3 so far - each for 1year. 2 chose to be a real part of the family and still are. One limited her work to the 25 hours and had little contact outside this. This worked as well. No religious background. Active life where Au pair is invited but not required to join vacations. Possibility but no requirement to learn Swedish.
Kids are all in daycare or school. Main work is to bring them and drop them / this task is shared with the parents and not just the aupaiir. Some laundry and cleaning but only as priority 2. Total hours are 25. Bringing / dropping is max. 15 hours every week on Mon - Fri, no weekend hours required
