This is a fabulous opportunity for somebody to join our busy working family. We would like a happy, energetic, practical person to be a family help for 25 hours a week in return for full board and £75 "pocket money" - negotiable. There would also be the opportunity to work some hours between 11 - 5 during the day on the farm. (This would be additional pay of course!) We have a busy farm shop, restaurant, arable and rare-bread settle £7:05 plus per hour. No day is ever the same! Peter is 2 and Dorothy is 1 and they are both tremendous fun and hard work! What do we want? Someone who loves the outdoors, has enthusiasm and energy, is good with small children, happy to do housework and mucking in and most importantly a good sense of humour... Dear Au Pair, I am Amy and my husband Mat and I are looking for some help at home and at our farm shop in Leicestershire. We live in a beautiful village and our home is very busy and go I'd fun. We have a little boy called Peter who was 2 in October and Dorothy, who is 13 months. We also have a dog called Sandy. She is a yellow Labrador and although she is part of the family, is not allowed upstairs and spends the day time on the farm. We live in Catthorpe and although I normally teach, I am on maternity leave and most of my time is spent looking after little Peter and Dorothy. We have a farm shop. We have sheep, cows, pigs, chickens, ducks and we grow fruit which we sell in the shop in the summer. The village is small, and we are 4 miles from Rugby and 3 miles from Lutterworth. We have a car, which you could use, but you would not have your own to use at any time. We would want your help in the home for perhaps 25 hours a week and give you £75. There would be the opportunity to work on the farm for additional pay. This might be picking fruit, waitressing, cleaning, helping to feed the animals – many different things. It would be an interesting time, and you would spend much of it working with the other people on the farm. We of course would not ask you to do anything you would not be very happy to do. I would like you to help me in the house. I need help with the cleaning, washing and general help during the day. You would have your own room, which has a television and also have Internet access. You would also have your own bathroom. We have two sitting rooms, so if you like to spend time watching TV not in your room and would like to have some “time out” this would be fine. Mat and I love to cook and having farm shop means we have lots of interesting food. If you enjoy cooking, we would love your inspiration, but we are also very happy for you to just enjoy the food that we cook. Mat and I have both lived abroad and understand that you would be away from home. We would do our very best to make your stay here as happy and cosy as possible.
