We live in South London which is a bustling area with a multicultured and diverse population. We love London life, which is at times chaotic and fast paced, but always has lots to offer with art galleries, exhibitions, music, food and parks on our doorstep. We work in catering and interior design so enjoy our home and cooking - if you like colour and pattern and good food then hopefully you will enjoy being here with us. Both children are at primary school. Breakfast is busy as we all have to get out of the house by 8:30 with various school bags, sports kits and musical instruments etc in tow! Then in the afternoon there are play dates, music lessons, school clubs, ballet and swimming, as well as homework and creative fun such as baking, colouring, park visits and painting for both girls. There is always singing, silly dancing and games but at the same time respect for each other and a sense of responsibility and care. We would ideally like for someone to join our family almost as a big sister to the girls. If you are outgoing, active, open minded, caring and have a sense of fun then we would love to hear from you. We need help with the morning and afternoon school run, then in the afternoon various clubs, sports or play dates or simply home for homework, reading and music practice. In the mornings our au pair would help with breakfast, empty the dishwasher and help tidy things away afterwards. It is then a case of general hustle and bustle to get to school - getting shoes on, teeth brushed etc. Nick or I are always there too so it is a family breakfast. We love cooking and are looking for an au pair who is able to, and enjoys cooking, and has some experience in the kitchen and be able to prepare meals from ingredients in the fridge for the children, a keen awareness of healthy eating is important. Evenings finish with bathtime and occasional bedtime routines (if we are late home) with story reading. There are light household chores that mainly revolve around cleaning up and tidying after the children and their bedroom. In general we only need help in the morning until 9am, then from 3 until 6:30/7 every evening so there is time for language classes etc. Pocket money is £100/week.
