Introduzione personale

Are you interested in a little bit different au pair job? We are a family of three, Jon who is swim coach and a member of several committees who are mainly based in Reykjavik so he is sometimes away, Nanna, a stay at home occupational therapist and Bjarney, a 16 year old student who likes make up, animals and practices table tennis. We also have an old dog. An au pair job with us would be different because two of three family members are wheelchair users. So the help we need from an au pair would not be the traditional babysitting job but rather to be of assistance, especially to our daughter. We live in Akureyri a beautiful town in northern Iceland. We have a house on a quiet street. We spend a lot of time at our home because Jon works a lot from home and Nanna is a stay at home. Bjarney is a nice and friendly girl who loves to play and care for her animals. She also goes to physical therapy twice a week and to table tennis practices. During summer time we like to travel both to summerhouses around the country and camping

Il lavoro dell’Au pair

As said before the au pairs job here would not be the “traditional” au pair babysitting job, even though she would be asked to do light household work and maybe cooking. For Bjarney to live her life to the fullest she needs help from others. Nanna has been her primary helper but as Bjarney gets older it is necessary for her to get help from others then her mum. The help she needs can be from handing her something from the shelves to more physical help like help her dress and undress. Just really help with activities of daily life We would like to welcome a friendly, open minded and resourceful au pair to our family
