We are a professional family with children aged 12 and 14 looking for a friendly, well organised and reliable au pair to start September 2017. We offer a supportive family environment, ensuite bedroom, TV/wifi in a large family home in leafy Surrey. We are 10 minutes walk from our local railway station and town centre with frequent train services into London. We have successfully hosted a series of au pairs in the last 6 years and always do our best to make our au pair feel welcome and enjoy her time with us. Our children have no special needs or disabilities. They are both intelligent and doing well at school. Our son has a keen interest in geography, languages and travel, Our daughter loves drawing, horses and dogs. They are generally fairly well behaved. Both parents work full time. We do not smoke. We don't have any pets of our own but regularly "borrow" a lovely husky and our daughter has use of a pony 2 days a week.
As both parents work full time we are looking for an au pair who has the capability and experience to be the adult in the house whilst we are at work. As our children are older they don't need playing with, but they do need someone to help them organise themselves in the mornings, take them to and collect them from school and other activities, prompt them to do homework, cook their dinner etc. You must be friendly, well organised, tidy and reliable. Good English and checkable references needed. It is essential that you are a confident driver with a clean licence. You must be entitled to live in the UK. Hours: Approximately 7 to 9:30am and 3:30 to 7pm 5 days a week, Monday to Friday. Weekends and bank holidays free with the exception of any agreed babysitting. There is plenty of time to attend language school (or undertake other activities) during the day. Duties: School runs (driving car), light household duties, preparing healthy meals for the children and supervising their homework and activities.
