We live on a small island with approx 80,000 population. It is a beautiful and friendly island and a safe place to raise children. This location is not suitable for everyone, so ideally we would like an au pair who has a good knowledge of English as there are limited college courses to learn. The island is a short flight or ferry to the mainland UK or Ireland so you must be happy with this. We have a beautiful home and swimming pool and our au pair will have full use of a car for work and leisure. I am a full time mum and my partner works very long hours including weekends, so he does very minimal childcare. He is away in the U.K. often for work and to visit his other 3 daughters. They also visit us in the holidays. We also have 2 sphynx cats.
Our au pair will mainly help with childcare, alongside me or alone, taking our daughter to baby/toddler groups, swimming etc...caring for her in the home, preparing her some meals etc. This will include occasional evenings. You may wish to cook for yourself as we do not cook often, but when we do we will be happy to cook for you also. You may wish to cook for us, but this is not a requirement. We don't need you to help with housework. From time to time we may visit the U.K. for a few days and we would like someone to be able to look after the cats!
