Dear au pair, We look forward to welcome you in our family as an older sister to our children. It will be as much an adventure for you as it will be for us, and we want to make this journey together. We live in Genoa, a big city on the beautiful coast of north-western Italy, filled with history and culture. Our apartment is placed right in the middle of the town, so every main attraction is at walking distance. Both seaside towns and the Alps are at hand, and we will be more than happy to take you with us on our holiday trips if you like. We look for a smiling, caring and patient girl to help looking after our kids and speak to them in English, we'd be happy to have you with us starting from June, for at least 12 months. You'll be our third au pair girl in three years. The previous two girls spent a year each with us and they'll be more than happy to provide more information on the town and our family if you like.
First of all we'd like our children to have the opportunity to learn English spending time with you. We expect you to be responsible and polite, to keep your room tidy and to be kind and educative to our children. Daily activities will mainly include taking Cecilia to/from kindergarden, looking after Bartolomeo, taking them to the park or to their activities and classes in the afternoon. You will seldom have to make food for the kids, as one of us is always at home for lunch. We expect you to help in ordinary house keeping, like helping setting the table for the meals and cleaning up afterwards just like any other family member. You'll be required to tidy up the kids room after playing with them as well as to keep your room neat and clean. Both the au pair girls we were lucky to host so far enjoyed very much the time with us. They had the chance to travel with us to Rome, Florence, the Alps (for skying) and the local riviera. You'll be free most of the weekends, and we are open to having your best friends or boy friend come and stay over for a few days.
